Deploy a detail-driven analysis to uncover cost-saving alternatives in a complex life safety upgrade, a needle-in-the-haystack operation. Challenge — Full system replacement and new wiring for upgraded devices across 225 rooms, driving most of the project’s cost. Solution — R&D uncovered existing audible devices were compatible with an alternate fire panel. Negotiations secured a waiver to retain these devices and avoid rewiring the entire facility. Result — Shifted to a dual-compatible design, preserving infrastructure, reducing project timeline, and cutting over half a million in projected costs
